IT Technician Assistant

This position is responsible for providing computer support, technical customer service, and performing the day to day operations of the Information Technology Department.   The daily operations include but are not limited to installing, maintaining and managing hardware, software, network infrastructure, and report distribution and generation.  The individual will work to resolve technical issues quickly, all in support of the company’s strategic, operational and financial goals and objectives, while keeping the company a niche leader. In this role, you will not only be an integral part of our IT team, but also an important part of the Hi-Line Family. Additionally, this person will play a key role in rolling out our new App to our Salesforce.


  • Provide help desk support to internal and external users on all related information technology systems. 
  • Experience with Windows & Apple operating systems
  • Mastery of Excel, Office 2019 and 365
  • Proficiency with mobile application installation and configuration
  • Add and remove security and system access control for all new employees.
  • Deploys, maintains, and monitors network and computer security and antivirus systems, focusing on virus or network infiltration detection and removal.  
  • Setup and deploy internal and external email applications, ensuring the user has the ability to send and receive an email.
  • Research using case studies and market research to determine the effectiveness of new information technology infrastructure and software to ensure a cost-effective approach to meet the internal and external goals of Hi-Line, Inc.
  • Performs and documents daily ERP system backups, maintaining secure storage for all backup media.
  • Documents and maintains all system processes and procedures.
  • Works with and supports all departments in their efforts to achieve company goals with a focus on company growth and sales.
  • Creates and maintain user-defined reports based on management and user input on an as-needed basis to help with departmental technical analysis.
  • Uses critical and technical analytical skills to solve intricate computer and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Interacts with vendors on an as-needed basis to troubleshoot and document system performance issues.
  • Performs all necessary administrative and management duties related to this position on time and with minimal supervisory follow-up required.


  • College degree, or pursuing a degree, or relevant experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience preferred
  • Must have Excel experience
  • Experience with Windows & Apple operating systems
